This Privacy Policy describes how Prime Chess ("the App") handles your information. Your privacy is important to us, and we have designed the core game to operate locally while maintaining compliance with our advertising partners.

1. Data Collection and Usage

The core gameplay of the App is designed as "Local-First." This means:

• Game Data: Your game history, win/loss records, chess ratings (ELO), and achievements are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this gameplay data to any servers.
• Personal Information: If you provide a "Player Name" within the App, it is stored only on your device to personalize your experience.

2. Permissions

To provide its features, the App requires the following permissions:

• Internet Access: Required to serve advertisements.
• Bluetooth & Location: Used solely for the Local Multiplayer mode. Android requires approximate location access to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. We do not track or store your physical location.
• Notifications: Used to provide daily challenges or game reminders if opted-in.

3. Third-Party Services and Advertising

To support the development of Prime Chess and keep it free, we use third-party advertising services (specifically Google AdMob) to display advertisements. While your game data remains strictly local, the advertising SDK automatically collects certain device data to serve relevant ads and analyze ad performance.

This data includes:

• Device or other IDs: Such as your Android Advertising ID.
• Approximate Location: Derived from your IP address to serve region-appropriate ads.
• App Activity & Diagnostics: Data on how you interact with ads, as well as crash logs to maintain app stability.

4. Your Advertising Choices

You have control over how your device handles advertising IDs. You can reset your Android Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time by navigating to your device's Settings > Google > Ads.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Since your gameplay data is stored locally, you can delete all information associated with the App at any time by clearing the App's cache/data in your Android Settings or by uninstalling the App.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
